SURABAYA

The pool at The Grand Residence.
James is used to me springing surprises.

James's house girl Sri introduced me to Soto Ayam (Chicken Soup)

One of my favourite family photos.

No there's a clever gardener.

Eating out is very reasonable and the hotels 'posh'.

Memorable time.

A self taught guitarist with a good voice.

A lady who worked at the residence.

No, I didn't convert.

Was impressed by so many trees in the city.

Poor elephant! Needed a step ladder.

Not a fence in sight

At the zoo.

A quiet time on the roads. No one abides by lines.

An expensive golf resort just out of the city.

Still plenty of vacant land.

Shopping centers are very modern

There are plenty of houses like this - owned by Chinese or Japanese business people

A parking spot

A market within the city area

Most locals use motor bikes.

We went to a special official function for dignitaries where beautiful  and clever dances performed.

A Government building.

One of several 'posh hotels'.

An upmarket restaurant where we could choose our fresh fish!!!

Lapping up luxury.

Ross loved duck.

We remembered our best table manners here.

Ross taking a chance with traffic.

Happy days at The Grand Residence.
